merlot, merlot and more merlot
Bonking Frog Wines is a small boutique winery in Western Australia dedicated to making quality merlot wines for pure enjoyment. Why do we grow only the one variety? We love it, that’s why. Delicious reds with soft, velvety tannins and beautiful, rich berry flavours. There’s a lot to love.
And our name? It certainly leaps out at you! Read about how we got our name and why we love our glorious frogs.

New Paterson Merlot is Poetry
Keep an eye out for our beautiful new Paterson Reserve Merlot, due for release at the end of 2013.
The name was inspired by our frogs, of course – bonking frog a.k.a. Western banjo frog… Banjo Paterson. Got it?
On the Job
Welcome to young alpacas Jack and Jill (white and black) who have joined our other colourful creatures here at the vineyard. We’ll let you know how successful they are at keeping the foxes away.
